Madness.
"😁"
"Uy, hello..! 😃"
Alright, maybe this post is probably a little dramatic than usual. Though I usually make posts that actually have something between the lines, I still try to prove a point as I finish the paragraphs. This one probably wouldn't prove a point, as if, this is just a story. Yes, this is just a story. Remember when you said: "A piece of the world was only mine; and then I said I wanted more", what if the only thing in the world took more of you rather than give more of you?
This story lasted 8 months.
The story began the most millenial way possible. Guy finds a girl, girl finds a guy, they meet, they talk. Simple. The beginning isn't usually hard, rather it's just where the difficulty of the remaining parts would depend on. A good beginning means a good end. Nope, not all the time. For sure, this story started with the guy and the girl talking and meeting. The guy perhaps makes his first move, trying to impress the girl. The girl is somehow impressed, and shows the traits that she wishes the guy would know. The girl has a hobby of staying at home and chilling, while living the luxury life. The guy has a hobby of going out, getting active, living a simple life, however. But you know what the others say: opposites react.
This story then rushed through events quickly on the two's first night, as the girl showed her background before she met this guy. This guy is rather confused, and wouldn't know what to reply after he has heard the backstory of the girl. Could this mean, the girl might actually need this guy to last a worthwhile or leave in a while?
The guy made a foolish move, however. He asked the girl's number in the first night they talk, but the girl utterly refused, and countered the move by the guy, saying her phone isn't with her. The guy felt the sense of rejection in a hurry, but that's alright, a few kinks and things would start clicking between the two.
They talked everyday some months back, telling stories, cracking jokes, and even doing assignments. It even came to the part where they had their first heart-to-heart conversation, as some secrets already had to be known by the guy, coming from the girl. The guy wasn't sharing much of his side, knowing he isn't the easy-to-extract type, he didn't have much secrets. After all, he just likes to live the simple way. Maybe sometimes, the simple life puts the luxury life to the dust hole.
The girl already told the guy before that there would no longer be room for her to have someone to believe in, countless times the guy tried to get through, but it just wasn't enough. He gave himself a little break, breathing room, and time to think. He wasn't really the overthinking type, but he usually worries about the things happening around him. He's the worrier type of person, you can't just leave him and not make him think about you. That's him, anyway, he cares for those who mean a lot to him.
There came the time where the girl would have her birthday. She had a celebration, which included her friends, her pals, her family, and everyone who meant something to her. The celebration included everyone special to her except for one thing: the guy. Yes, he's left out of the party. It's probably because she didn't want to catch too much attention if he would be present, nor the fact that her siblings would notice something strange while the guy would be there for the celebration. The guy took this constructively, instead gave her two gifts, a plushy object, and a heartfelt letter. The letter was read immediately by the girl, but it ultimately led her into tears. It isn't the message that made her feel sad, but rather her backstory, where her old suitor would send her letters every now and then to express their emotions. The guy felt left out, once more.
The blame was all on the guy, he put it all to himself. He was frustrated, he felt humiliated, and he turned himself down. He was unappreciated, undervalued, underestimated. He felt he wasn't worth it.
Until one day, things turned bright. A friend of the girl and the guy told the guy that the girl has feelings for the guy already. Feelings, not interest, not a crush, not love. Feelings. Empathy. The guy didn't take that seriously, and probably disregarded the message. New Year passed, the next year has begun.
January was the month where everything turned black. The girl revealed to the guy that she currently is talking once more to the one she loved before, and this led the guy to a small frustration once more. He let it flow, as he knew how it already felt, he probably just needs a little time to heal. The girl underappreciated the guy, telling him that he's just one of her friends. The guy treated her special in all the ways possible, but some efforts just don't really work out.
February started badly for the both of them. On the very first day, the guy heard that the girl already has someone in her heart. No, it wasn't her suitor, no, it wasn't the guy she loved before, but a boy who she loves dearly that she shared it not only to her class, but to the guy as well. This ultimately led to the guy cutting their communications without prior notice. The girl never noticed it until two days later. Those days later, the girl and her boy was torn apart, and she was angry at the guy because she knew he would be happy that luck was against her once more. The guy was sorry. Partially. He knew it won't be enough. He never wanted it to end the story this way, but good things don't end, they end badly. There came madness.
It then came a few weeks later that the emotions have already been settled, yet the madness wasn't over. The guy wanted the girl to be happy, that was it, that was his goal. The girl didn't want to get hurt, that was what was supposed to happen. But time changes things, tomorrow would always be different. And in due time, maybe the time span won't be the only time these two would talk to one another. Maybe when the madness is done, these two would take a good laugh at everything that has happened between them.
Maybe they are better left alone than unhappy.
"I'm only tired, okay."
"Let's be real here, we're tired of one another. 😕"
