11-Day School Year

BRAIN TRAIN BLOG!

Yayayay actually this blog would originally be in my Twitter rant account: debidrants. Pa-follow HAHAHA jk don't, puro galit nandito. Or maybe not, I'm not sure. HAHA just don't ;))
Anyway: onto the blog!

*teachers would be named after their aliases.

The first day started off with my favorite subject in Senior High School: CHEMISTRY
(as in, peyborit ko talaga yan)

so Ma'am EG set the tone for the whole journey, she gave the class the light mood, and ofc, there should've been smiles all around.

She was a hyped teacher.

Right after our first subject ever at Brain Train, we finally proceeded with the formal Introduction spearheaded by Sir CJ. He was one of the most joyful teachers in the center, sharing stories of his when he was at UP, and ofc giving us laughs throughout the review.

Before introducing himself, he asked us to go first. Was it really necessary to introduce yourself to a class you'll only attend for 11 days? Really? We had to do this anyway, so each of us were screwed.

Shoutout to the singers of the class and those who broke their bones lmao

After all of us were done, he introduced himself in such an extravagant way, as if some sort of live action play was in the room, and he was the star.

Hugot tho. HAHA
dude how tf do you count the exact time since you broke up wow

anyway right after that, he explained the rules.

Ma'am AG was an active teacher as well. I remembered every time that she asks us if we understand the lesson, she'd ask, "Crystal?", and we reply, "clear!"

We often don't respond well to her jokes tho, either we don't react or give her 3 laughs. She's a fun teacher, anyway.
The most not-so memorable experience with Ma'am AG was the roleplay she asked us to do in Day 1, and I was picked to do so 🙃 & a girl would be playing in the same activity as well. I'm not sure of her name, Aliyah, I think? idk. We were groupmates as well in a Reading activity.
It was a play about parallel lines, how they never would meet, so close yet so far. I was terrible at acting.
> this event started me being the class's big joke LMAO
You expect a nerd to act like Chris Evans? Bruh.
*Ma'am AG likes Chris Evans tho*

Sir CJ was handling Grammar Reviews 1-2. He told us abt the common mistakes in terms of sentence structure. He told us about sentences being organized & logical.

One thing I won't forget abt him: he surprised the girls every time we were answering the PT questions one by one. 😂

Ma'am DL, for me, was the most outstanding teacher in the review. She's given us techniques © which were helpful throughout the review.

(u wanna know? GO TO BRAIN TRAIN! di ka kasi nag-Brain Train, you average human being)

I'll always remember her quote: "Mag-isip din tayo."
She also told us stories abt her being held captive in the parallel universe of grammar, and sometimes her fellow neighbors, the universe of Mathematics could also get along with the lessons we were discussing.

Truly. Amazing.

Sir LC? idk bout y'all but he's actually really good at Geometry. Not to mention his humble attitude and millennial way of teaching us the "ez" techniques in terms of geometrical figures.

DI KO PA RIN MAGETS KUNG BAKIT INAASAR-ASAR SIYA??

baka kasi he's too smart for them hmMMm

Sir SL had a short time with us, but he was also a teacher who could explain things abt Gen. Science clearly. The one thing that's noteable from him is the "bugahan" challenge, which involved uhm, Tan and Migs? (idk their real names eh :c ).

That's just to explain moist tho 😂😂

Ma'am TL had the shortest time: 2 periods, as she was then replaced by sir CJ for idk reason. She had a group activity which involved TV series, movies, and books, and I, as a non-fanatic of those works WAS THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY WAS FORCED TO WRITE DOWN ANSWERS AT THE BOARD

WALA PO AKO ALAM HAHAHA WHY ME.

I mean, they told me, "matatalino naman taga-Don Bosco eh"

I'll take that, ladies.

cockiness: 8/10
Ma'am GA was our Physics teacher. I mean, it's okay to teach Physics during the first period of Mondays...no? It's NOT okay. Physics is cool and all but, on a Monday? I don't think so. Dagdag stress. May Electronics and Quantum Mechanics pa. Sad brain cells :(

Still learnt tho.

Ma'am CC actually explained Biology the most teacher-istic way! She told stories, had discussions, and explained answers thoroughly! Her stories abt her medical career kept us active during the class, same as the explanation of the sciences around us, pertaining to life.

The most memorable things she told us are her stories in the operating room: from her being an assistant until she was the one managing the operations herself. She also keeps it as a memorable experience, even though some of them left a traumatic memory to her. But she's great!

Last, and CERTAINLY NOT THE LEAST BC HE'S THE REASON I TURNED INTO A HUGE JOKE AT BRAIN TRAIN...

Sir NA.

Hays idk what to say. First of all: I DIDN'T MEAN TO ANSWER ALOUD AND ALONE BECAUSE YOU ASKED US THE ANSWER AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO SPOKE THE ANSWER SO NAPAGTRIPAN NA AKO

"Bida-bida pala to ah. Si.. David Quiambao? Taga-Don Bosco College?"

> my reaction

I just recited. Aloud. Pucha nagrecite ako mag-isa mayabang agad ako??? HAHAHA

He is THE teacher you must have in your class. You may assume he's silent and strict, but as soon as he discusses, he's a really funny guy. Especially when he calls out students who're innocent hMMpH?

He had two (hilarious) techniques, the Echos (Echo's) Amazing Technique, and the UTOT (you-tot) technique. You wanna learn abt these techniques?

Let's face the reality of being the AVERAGE student.

Mag-isip din tayo.

DI KA KASI NAG-BRAIN TRAIN!!

nag-enroll ako der 8k pesos skl
But teachers weren't the only people that gave the meaning to Brain Train, that included us as well!

Heck, I might not know all of your names, but for sure I'll know you by how you look!

pst, follow me @davidqui_ sa Twitter, add me David Quiambao sa FB hihe HAHAHALKfskfja

WE gave the meaning to this review. Though not all of you would even try the real UPCAT, the review was made for us to have a huge advantage over those who haven't been from any other Review Centers. Here's a star emoji to make us all pass to our desired universities!

Thanks for the laughs, guys. Yung pangtitrip niyo rin sakin haha! Don't worry, if we meet again, kakausapin ko na kayo. Also, yung mga taga-Caritas diyan, I'm living just a couple of kilometers away HAHA jk. Pero kita-kits.

Sana makita ko uli kayo. Hangout tayo. Soon.

Goodluck! ✊
